I have no idea what I am going to do with this website. First thing, I just want to get the site up and running (away fast) and then add some other stuff (web creation technical term). In order to fill up this text space and get on with the actual creation of the web site I am going to just paste some random text in here, as follows:
TIP: Double-spaced Diagnosis
Looking for an easy way to determine if a document or email message was produced by one of the more mature members of our society? Easy enough -- look for double-spaces between sentences.
This is a technique that was taught to typists many years ago and, at the time, it made sense: on some typewriters a single space wasn't enough to clearly delineate one sentence from another. It's a devilishly difficult habit to break, but in the computer age, it's one worth discarding. Double-spaces between sentences can play merry heck with formatting -- producing text that doesn't always strictly align with the left border of a page, for example.
Those who just can't help themselves might consider using their word processor's Search and Replace feature to replace double-spaces with a single space.
